Softsub just means that you can turn the english subtitle on or off. With a hardsub you can't remove it from the screen. This series has both Japanese and English audio.

a4e released their files in ogm, so subtitles are stored in a stream so they can be turned off. in the older days they use to be encoded directly into the vids. the ogm files can be edited in vdubmod to where you can remove all the extra streams you dont want to make smaller files since the ogm's contain 2 language streams (or more) and the subtitles along with video. but naturally this show ****ed when they dubbed it in english.
